Meghan Markle shuts down social media accounts ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry

She’s made some huge changes in order to marry her fiancee Prince Harry, and now Meghan Markle has made yet another big life choice before the pair wed in 2018.
Following her’s and Harry’s visit to Brixton on Tuesday 9th January, Meghan has now officially shut down her social media accounts.
The bride-to-be has closed down her Instagram account, Facebook page, and Twitter account. The closures come just four months before she and Harry marry.

Discussing the news, Kensington Palace commented, saying the accounts, “haven’t been used for some time”.
They also said that the soon-to-be royal was grateful to everyone who had followed her over the years.
Meghan stopped using her social media accounts early in 2017, presumably when it became clear that she and beau Harry were getting serious.
The former actress also shut down her popular lifestyle website The Tig in April 2017. The change came soon after her relationship with the Prince became public.

She explained the closure of the site by writing, “After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig.”
Shortly before her accounts were closed, Meghan had gained over 1.9 million followers on her Instagram. She also had over 350,000 Twitter followers, and 800,000 likes on her Facebook page.
On her Instagram, Meghan regularly shared pictures of both her work and home-life. She shared plenty of pictures of her Toronto home, including her beloved pet dogs, Guy and Bogart. She also posted snaps from her life on set at her show Suits, where she played lawyer Rachel Zane.
It’s likely that a greater degree of privacy is now required for Meghan. Which is understandable, given that she’s soon set to marry into one of the UK’s most famous families!
Communications from Meghan will now likely come only from official palace accounts. Social media accounts under the Kensington Palace cover her, Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, – where the foursome all live.
