Jim Daniher, the head of one of the game's most famous football families, has died aged 90.
The father of Terry, Neale, Anthony and Chris, who all played with Essendon, was a legend in Ungarie, NSW where he lived on the family farm, Hillview.
He is also the grandfather of current Bomber star Joe Daniher and former Essendon player Darcy.
The four Daniher boys all played in the one game together with Essendon to create football history in round 22, 1990.
Terry was captain of Essendon in their back-to-back premierships in 1984-1985 while Chris played in the Bombers' 1993 triumph
Neale's career was cut short through a knee injury however he coached Melbourne and his battle with MND and tireless work to raise money for research has made him a much-admired Australian.
Essendon released a statement signalling their regard for Jim.
