As Holly Willoughby turns 37, we celebrate all the things we love about the star ahead of her special day on February 10 whilst capturing how she’s gone from girl next door to become one of the nation’s popular TV presenters and style icons.
She has the best jobs
Before her TV career, Holly modelled for Pretty Polly (as a brunette!) but soon found fame presenting kids’ shows Ministry of Mayhem and Feel the Fear. Since then, not only has she become a co-host of ITV’s This Morning, she’s currently presenting Dancing on Ice and is a team captain on comedy panel show Celebrity Juice. No wonder she’s not taking on any more work, saying, ‘I just want to pause everything and keep everything as is. Work is in a really lovely place.’
The celebs adore her
Everyone wants to hang out with Holly and some of her closest pals just happen to be her co-stars – from holidaying with Phillip Schofield to partying with Fearne Cotton, this yummy mummy has it all. When she hits the town she likes ‘to see where the night takes me’.
She gives us fashion goals
Whether it’s on social media or for the red carpet – as seen here at the NTAs – we can’t wait to see what Holly’s wearing. Will it be a chic pencil skirt, cosy knitwear or a beautiful blouse? And the style icon loves dressing up for Dancing on Ice, saying, ‘There’s not many shows where you get to wear a gorgeous, full-on princess frock!’
Holly manages to juggle all four elements of her life – from being a loving wife to husband Dan Baldwin, mother to their children Harry, eight, Belle, six, and Chester, three, to being a driven career woman and the ultimate party girl for her pals. Phew!
She’s not afraid to show her emotions – even on live TV Holly wears her heart on her sleeve, making her even more down to earth. Whether it’s crying on live TV during a segment about a child’s death or telling viewers about the passing of her beloved cat Roxy, the presenter doesn’t hold back her tears.
Shaped up sensibly
Holly always championed her hourglass curves but last year the star gradually shaped up. It’s been reported that her newly toned figure is thanks to kickboxing, and Holly simply puts it down to ‘having more time for myself’ adding, ‘If you feel happy and healthy that’s all that matters.’
Has a lot of laughs
There can’t be a day that goes by when Holly doesn’t get the giggles, often sparked by a This Morning mishap, a cheeky innuendo or just mishearing something. Anything can happen on live TV, and at least we get to share her daily tonic instead of losing them to the out-takes.
Happy Birthday Holly, hope the hangover is kind…
